Nainital – Used To Be A Wonderful Place!

Most of Indians would agree that their first choice for a honeymoon destination would be “Nainital”. We have been hearing that since 80’s, 90’s and late 20’s. However, things have changed! People have changed! Places have changed! And so has Nainital!

Nainital in Uttarakhand State of India being one of the nearest hill stations from Delhi (Capital of India) is now not the same place that it used to be. It used to be more greener, more pleasant and more peaceful place. Maybe I was not in the right mood when I visited this place few months back. The place, usually, remains chilly even during summer season which was not even close to chilly this year. We were wearing T-Shirts and sweating under the hot Sun on the month of June in 2014. The place which our parents have traveled, which our grand-parents would have loved to travel is now not the place our grand-children would like to travel to; unfortunately.

Well, the prices! The Indian economy has gotten weaker. The currency is weaker. We’re paying more than what the price actually needs to be. At the same price of 30k we can visit Dubai (UAE) or Singapore or Thailand or Malaysia which nowadays luckily includes the return flight costs too; it was too expensive druing 80’s to 20’s. Another reason to add up is to see something new, we always wanted to see the world. Most of us have never even traveled half of the states of India but have traveled like 20 or more countries. The language is no barrier anymore as it used to be as now everyone can speak in English quite fluently. The state of Uttarakhand, which is located in the northern areas of India

Maybe the another reason while our parents visited Nainital was that at that time their was language and food barriers. No good transportation or cheap transportation, no good money or for the love of country. But today, right this moment, it is not the case. New generation don’t think of skin-color, religion, culture etc. They just want to  live happy, enjoy the life and the nature!

However, Nainital is still visited by thousands of people every month and is one of the most beautiful places I have been to. But now, there are good alternatives, so choose wisely! Incredible India or Incredible World?
